Hangar heating

Hangar heating

The hangar is a multifunctional room. Offices are located in it, it is used for a warehouse, car services, and parking lots. The heating of the hangar is necessary to maintain a positive temperature, protect against the appearance of condensation, and create comfortable working conditions. The choice of the hangar heating system is influenced by:

  • Installation budget;
  • Financial opportunities to ensure the operation of the hangar heating system;
  • Level of fire hazard of heating;
  • Hangar area.

Hangar heating: types of systems

They distinguish:

  1. Liquid heating – central heating in which water is the heat carrier. For a hangar, such heating will be expensive: design and installation of the system, constant maintenance. In addition, when the size of the hangar is more than 30 m2, heat loss increases significantly. Fire safety is low;
  2. Gas heating – gas boiler, burners. Available only if there is a gas pipeline near the hangar or if there are funds for the purchase of gas cylinders. Fire safety is high;
  3. Electric heating – heaters, heat guns, “warm floors”. The ease of installation varies depending on the device, but the high financial costs of maintenance remain;
  4. Solar heating of the hangar – systems work autonomously, do not require connection to the power grid. The heat carrier is air. The collector is turned on when the sun’s rays fall on it, they make the fans work and heat the air. Fire safety is low.

We do not consider heat pumps, obtaining energy from plasma, nuclear energy, etc. due to the high cost and complexity of the design.
