The main characteristics of freight elevators include:

1. Load capacity: This is the maximum weight of cargo that the elevator can lift. Freight elevators can have a load capacity from several hundred kilograms to several tons, depending on their purpose and design.
2. Platform dimensions: The dimensions of the elevator platform are determined by the size and shape of the loads to be transported. Platforms can be square, rectangular or conform to other geometric shapes for optimal use of space.
3. Lifting speed: This is the speed at which an elevator can lift a load between different levels. Freight elevators usually have a moderate speed, which allows for efficient and safe movement of goods.
